Residence permit for non-EU students for internships in Spain

This is an authorization to reside in Spain and to participate in an internship program through the signing of an internship agreement or internship work contract in order to improve knowledge, practice and experience in a professional environment. For foreign students who have obtained a higher education degree in the last two years.

Institutions

Foreign students who have obtained a higher education degree in the two years prior to the date of application or who are pursuing studies leading to a higher education degree may benefit from this permit. The internships to be carried out may be non-labor (through an internship agreement) or labor (through an internship employment contract).

The host institution or entity must submit the application for authorization of residence for internships. The host entity is the entity that hosts the intern, whatever its legal form, and with which the internship agreement or the internship employment contract is signed.

In Campussing we take care of the whole mobility process of your students, from the application for the student’s residence permit for internships, individually or in groups for as many students as necessary, and we can incorporate groups of students at the same time or as needed. We will coordinate with the host institution and the internship student the whole process, taking care of everything from the time you request service to the incorporation of the student.

Type

This is an authorization to reside in Spain and to participate in an internship program by signing an internship agreement or an internship work contract in order to improve knowledge, practice and experience in a professional environment in Spain.

The duration of the residence authorization for internships will be:

  • of a maximum of 12 months when requested in the framework of a hosting agreement.
  • of a maximum of 24 months when requested within the framework of an internship work contract.

This authorization of residence for training does not authorize to work.

Regarding the family members of the holder of such an authorization, this authorization does not provide for family reunification. The student may be accompanied by family members who were already in Spain and who had obtained previous authorization as a family member.

Requirements

  • Not be a citizen of a State of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, or a family member of citizens of these countries, to which the Union citizen regime is applicable.
    Not have a criminal record in their previous countries of residence during the last five years for crimes under Spanish law and not appear as rejectable in the territorial space of the countries with which Spain has signed an agreement in this regard.
  • In his case, to be regularly in Spanish territory.
  • To have obtained a higher education degree, including university education, higher artistic education, higher level vocational training, higher level professional plastic arts and design education and higher level sports education, in the two years prior to the date of the application or to be carrying out studies leading to a higher education degree, and to hold a residence permit for studies, if these are carried out in Spain.
  • The internship must be in the same academic field and at the same level of qualification as the higher education degree or study program in question.
  • The internship must be carried out within a program supported by an internship contract or internship agreement.
  • Have been admitted or hired in a public or private entity, on the basis of the aforementioned agreement or contract that provides for theoretical and practical training.
  • If there is no internship contract, to have a public or private health insurance policy with an insurance company authorized to operate in Spain.
  • If there is no work experience contract, they must have sufficient financial means to cover the costs of their stay and return to their country and, if applicable, those of their family members, in accordance with the following amounts:
    • For their support, monthly, 100% of the IPREM, unless it is duly accredited to have paid in advance the accommodation, in which case it will be 50% of the IPREM, during all the time that the residence has to last.
    • For the support of their relatives, monthly, 75% of the IPREM for the first relative and 50% of the IPREM for each of the remaining persons, unless it is duly accredited to have paid in advance the lodging during all the time that the residence is going to last.
  • Not to suffer from any of the diseases that can have serious public health repercussions, in accordance with the provisions of the International Health Regulations of 2005.

Documentación

Si formalizas la solicitud de servicio de tramitación del permiso de residencia para prácticas, una vez recibamos la solicitud, tu asistente Campussing se pondrá en contacto con la institución de acogida y con el estudiante para organizar todo el proceso y planificar el servicio correctamente.

Campussing se encargará de preparar toda la documentación necesaria para tramitar tu solicitud, asegurando la adecuada preparación de los documentos que se deban presentar por parte del estudiante en prácticas como de la institución de acogida. Para ello o pediremos todos los documentos necesarios para su correcta tramitación. Si no tenéis alguno de los documentos necesarios, vuestro asistente Campussing os ayudará e indicará como conseguirlos así como del formato requerido en cada caso.

Campussing os dará a lolargo de todo el proceso todas las indicicaciones que sean necesarias para obetenr en el menor tiempos posibel todos los documentos requeridos. Vuestor asitente Campussing revisará toda la documentación para verificar que el formato, idioma, validación y cualqueir otros son correctos. Y una vez tengamos todos los documentos necesarios, realizaremos con la institución de acogida, la solicitud formal del permiso de residencia. La única responsabilidad de la Institución de acogida y el estudiante en práctiacs será la de agilizar la obtención de los documentos que le corresponda a cada parte según las indicaciones que les demos desde Campussing y proporcionarlos para poder realizar la solicitud que requieren.

Procedimiento

La solicitud deberá realizarse telematicamente y el plazo de resolución está establecido en 30 días a contar a partir del siguiente a la fecha de solicitud. En el momento de la solicitud, el estudiante podrá estar residiciendo tanto fuera de España como en España, siendo obligatorio que en el caso de estar residiendo en España. el estudiante para el que se solicita el permiso de residencia para prácticas, esté residiendo legalmente.

Si el estudiante reside fuera de España, una vez concedida la autorización, el estudiante deberá solicitar su visado en el país de origen y una vez obtenga el visado sellado en su pasaporte, deberá viajar a España para incorporarse dentro de los plazos establecidos para ello. Campussing asistirá y acompañará al estudiantes en el proceso de tramitación de su visado para agilizar el proceso en la medida de lo posible y para evitar demoras innecesarias e incidencias tanto al estudiante como a la institución de acogida.

Una vez en España, el estudiante deberá solicitar su Tarjeta de Identificación de extranjeros (TIE) si el periodo de prácticas es superior a 6 meses. Campussing incluye como parte del servicio, la ayuda con la tramitación de la puesta de huellas y obtención de la TIE para el estudiante en prácticas y su institución de acogida, para lo que acompañará al estudiante el día de la solicitud de la TIE presencialmente.

Tasas

Las tasas de extranjería no están incluidas en el precio del servicio y se pagarán aparte. Estas tasas son un gasto personal del estudiante en prácticas y/o de su institución de acogida establecidas por la Administración para ambos, cuando realizan un trámite de extranjería en España.

Para facilitar la gestión y si lo desean, podemos abonarlas en su nombre de antemano, para evitar que tenga que desplazarse a abonarlas a la entidad bancaria, pero deberá reembolsarse su coste.

Podemos realizar el pago de todas las tasas que sean necesarias para la ejecución del servicio, tambien puede realizarlas usted personalmente en la entidad bancaria correspondiente española con la que trabaje. Si Campussing adelanta el pago de las tasas, deberán abonar una vez contratado este servicio:  1. el coste de la tasa que establece el Ministerio para éste proceso + 2. el coste del servicio campussing para pago de tasas (1 servicio x cada tasa pagada).
